"Nooka Nooka" toy customisation for New York Gallery opening

As mentioned in a previous blog, I customised a Nooka toy with ILD which was later exhibited as part of the Nooka gallery event! Here are the photos of the toy, the process and them from a few different angles ;-) Uploaded in reverse order so from Finish to Start(-ish)

The LAUNCH takes place tomorrow at The ADIDAS Concept Store- Pochoir, Fark, Claroscuro, Joe, Paulo and myself spent all day today painting/spraying/stencilling/pasting up the interior of the store, and I must say it looks like a job well done!

Adidas Originals are on the cusp of releasing a series of modified classic Adidas sneaks by Artists from around the world! To celebrate the Launch of the Pochoir x Adidas Superstar 80 a party will take place at The Adidas Concept Store on Newburgh St, London on DEC 1st.

Pochoir himself has hand picked 6 other artists including myself in the line up to exhibit exclusive art pieces specially made for the show!!!!

L'Etranger by Albert Camus

Read this quite a while ago and had been meaning to do an illustration for it for a very long time! Well, here it is depicting one of (many) pinnacle scenes in the book. I chose to leave the gun out of the image, as I didnt feel it necessary because for me it is the boiling heat of that day and the bottled up frustration within our protagonist which I felt were more vital in describing the scene...

The Road by Cormac McCarthy

Ive been hearing so much about this book (by the same author of No Country for old men ) called The Road The imagery described to me has been feeding my imagination aplenty and I had a bit of spare time today so I put my pen to paper and came up with this! I feel bad for drawing something Ive not even started reading yet, but its even worse when someone has to hold back their creativity, surely?

Enter the weird world of Shiro the hobo cat!

X Mas gift for my flat mate buddy!

The mug in the above picture is based on a design by design maverick Dane Whitehurst of the PlayCoalition He and a few other folks have been getting into the climbing scene and the appendage on the mug (which is one of those grips you get on the training walls for climbers) replaces the usual handle of your average mug! May the extreme tea drinking begin! Happy Christmas, Chums!

One that slipped through the net!

This little baby was originally planned for the Artful Dodger show in New York but due to budgets etc she didnt quite make it to the party. The plan was to have this and possibly another printed onto vinyl and then stuck onto pillars around the ILD exibition area, I totally forgot about it until speaking to a friend about skulls and this popped into my head! Cliche as illustrations of skulls are, they're a lot of fun to draw and I just can't help myself...

Recently I was very lucky to be a part of the design company ILOVEDUST who got helms deep involved in the Artful Dodger Party to launch their latest line of clothing for 2008 as part of the New York Fashion week. Here are a few photos and some more here Oh yeah and Jay Z was there too along with Beyonce.
